Terms of Service
Last updated: June 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Velocity Freight website, customer dashboard, driver portal, admin systems, and related services (together, the "Services"), operated by Velocity Freight ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, booking a shipment, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Description of services
Velocity Freight provides logistics and freight services including ground shipping, express delivery, same-day delivery, freight (LTL/FTL), international shipping, warehousing, fleet solutions, and supply chain coordination. Specific service availability, transit times, and rates depend on origin, destination, shipment characteristics, and operational capacity, and may change without notice.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. Accounts are issued per role (customer, driver, warehouse staff, dispatcher, or administrator), and access to certain features is restricted based on that role.
4. Booking shipments
When you book a shipment, you agree to provide accurate information about the package, including weight, dimensions, declared value, contents description, and pickup and delivery addresses. Inaccurate information may result in delays, additional charges, refusal of the shipment, or loss of insurance coverage for that shipment. A tracking number is generated when a shipment is created and remains valid for tracking that shipment through delivery.
5. Prohibited and restricted items
You may not ship items that are illegal, hazardous, or prohibited by applicable law or by carrier and customs regulations, including but not limited to firearms and ammunition, explosives, illegal drugs and narcotics, hazardous materials without proper declaration and packaging, live animals (unless arranged under a specific service), counterfeit goods, and currency or negotiable instruments above amounts permitted by law. We reserve the right to inspect, refuse, hold, or report shipments that we reasonably believe violate this section.
6. Pricing, quotes, and payment
Quotes provided through the website or dashboard are estimates based on the information you provide (route, weight, and service level) and are subject to change based on actual package characteristics, fuel surcharges, customs duties, taxes, and applicable accessorial charges. Final pricing is confirmed at booking or invoicing. Invoices are due according to the payment terms shown on the invoice. Late payments may result in suspension of services or additional fees as permitted by law.
7. Delivery, delays, and risk of loss
Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated for a specific service level and are subject to factors outside our control, including weather, traffic, customs processing, and incorrect address information. Risk of loss or damage transfers according to the service terms applicable to your shipment; for most services, risk passes to the recipient upon confirmed delivery (including delivery to a location or person authorized to receive the shipment on the recipient's behalf).
8. Claims and liability
If a shipment is lost, damaged, or delayed, you must notify us within the timeframe specified for your service level (generally within a reasonable number of days of the scheduled delivery date) to be eligible for a claim. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the declared value of the shipment (where insurance was purchased) or the maximum liability permitted under applicable carrier liability law for the relevant service and mode of transport. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of business or profits, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.
9. Tracking data and acceptable use
Tracking numbers, status information, and location data provided through the Services are for the purpose of monitoring your own shipments and may not be used to scrape, aggregate, or republish data at scale, or to attempt to access shipment information that does not belong to you. You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the Services, attempt unauthorized access to any account or system, or use the Services to transmit unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent content.
10. Additional terms for drivers
If you are issued a driver account, you agree to maintain a valid license appropriate to the vehicle you operate, to use the driver portal to accurately record delivery status, proof of delivery, and vehicle information, and to comply with all applicable road safety and traffic laws. Location sharing through the driver portal is used to support route assignment, ETA accuracy, and delivery confirmation, as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users, our operations, or our network. You may stop using the Services and request closure of your account at any time, subject to the completion of any shipments or invoices already in progress.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services is limited as described in Section 8, and we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Velocity Freight is registered to do business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection or carrier liability laws of your country or region require otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the dashboard or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Contact us
